I have seen people leave patients on the toilet for a hour or more and say she is done. The staff is rude and inconsiderate to feelings and needs. You all need to staff your rehabilitation floors. That's why they are there to help people get better and stronger but without adequate staff on the floors you cannot provide the care and time they need. The facility is clean and homey ; patients are encouraged to eat meals together, and visitors are encouraged to be with them. I think their goal is to get rehab patients up and about-- and I think it works well. The therapy group is attentive and are considerate to do things like provide a schedule for the next day, so the patient knows what to expect. The staff (nurses/aides) are also attentive and communicate well with the patient and family. The aides and evening nurse on the floor had been working there for a while, so you get the feeling that they want to be there, and they have knowledge of the place.
If there is room available to rehab at this facility, I would suggest placement here.For rehab in the Norths Hills, Vincentian Home cannot be beat. Not all senior care providers have a star rating. Vincentian is a beautiful facility, but the staffing problem is awful. They could not careless about the rehabilitation units but they have crazy amount of staffing in the long term units.
